Recently we were facing few issues regarding SPAM. Spammers were able to bypass our security system and bots were registering a lot and we had to disable registration for a while. But now we have completely changed the way people can join GyachSB, now you can join us if you have any of the account from services like Yahoo, Twitter, Aim, OpenID, Twitter or Google Accounts . There 99% chances that anyone who wants to join GyachSB already have account from atleast one of the above service.
It means, you can join GyachSB instantly, no need of signup. Just click [b]Join or Sign in[/b] which you see at bottom of every page and you are done. It means, for example, if you are logged into your gmail account and opens GyachSB, for first time it will ask you confirmation and next time you won’t even need to login to Gyach, if you are logged into Gmail, you will be automatically get logged in to GyachSB also.
Btw, I forgot to tell you that it also helps us to fight spam as now Google will assist to do so, which also means that you will have better and spam free GyachSB.

On internet, spamming is still one of the biggest issue, every day a very large portion of internet traffic is only spam. Even though technology is improving to fight spam, so do the techniques of spammers to counter them. Even on GyachSB, we seriously fight with spammers, using technology as well as human vigilance. 
On GyachSB, we had guest voting enabled, it means a submitted BIT can be voted even without login or say by anonymous user. But as title says, we have disabled guest voting. Though we don’t have problem of spamming as we have various level of spam fighting mechanism, its just that we are curious to see the effect when voting by guest has been disabled.
At regular intervals we receive question from our visitors that they sometimes find that many of the Looming bits (ie. freshly submitted links) get disappear completely. Though hardly anyone complained that it was their own BITs those are gone.
